Mustapha Sadiki holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from the Université de Bretagne Occidentale (France, 2005) and has been a member of the Ordre des chimistes du Québec since 2008.
With over 20 years' experience, he began his career at the Université Louis Pasteur (France) as a teaching and research associate. After a post-doctoral fellowship (NSERC) at Environment Canada, where he studied the environmental fate of pesticides, he joined Centre ACER in 2009 as a chemist.
He currently holds the position of Senior Scientist - Analytical Development, where he leads research and development projects on the quality and authenticity of maple syrup products. He is also responsible for laboratory services for research projects carried out by the Centre ACER, and for cross-checks on maple syrup quality as part of marketing regulations.
Mr. Sadiki has in-depth expertise in instrumental analysis, particularly chromatography and mass spectrometry. He specializes in targeted and non-targeted analysis by LC-HRMS, GC-MS/Sniffing analysis to identify markers with odor impact (organosensory), as well as isotopic signature analysis by EA-LC-IRMS and ICP-MS-MS for food fraud control.
