The Centre ACER is pleased to make available a new infographic on estimating maple syrup volume based on barrel weight.

This resource presents the essential concepts for accurately converting barrel weight into syrup volume, a method commonly used for production quota monitoring. It includes the fundamental principles, conversion equations, and three calculation examples using maple syrup at different Brix levels.

The infographic also highlights the key precautions to ensure reliable estimates of the syrup volume contained in barrels.
