Mérilie Gagnon will be collaborating with the dairy sector on the project 4010511 as part of the project entitled Antimicrobial properties of maple co-products for dairy applications.
The project aim to evaluate the potential of lignans, a type of polyphenol found in maple syrup, to limit the presence of pathogenic species in biofilm form. The principal investigator is Maud de Lagarde from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal.
